With all the electro, techno and dubstep floating about at the moment, spaced-out disco seems to have got lost in the ether. A lot of djs and producers are favouring the heavier and more mechanical sounds those other genres emit, but that’s not to mean there aren’t some great disco-orientated tracks being produced.

I, in all honesty, listen to too much music. I know there are people out there who will put the same track on repeat for hours and hours, seemingly never tiring from it. Well I am the opposite. I have a ton of mp3s, vinyl and cds I’ve not had chance to listen to, and if I have listened to them, then the likelihood is that I’ve only listened to them once or maybe only in part. Maybe this is giving a dis-service to the artist but I am not the kind of person that disposes of stuff very easily so I hope to give all the music in my possession it’s due at some point in time.

I’m on an ongoing quest to seek out sounds and music I’ve never heard before – I’m not looking for the next big thing, just looking for something I can react to. There are plenty of other blogs posting the latest indie and alternative tracks and tracks by the remixers du jour so I’m not going to post those again unless they are part of a mix. Instead I want to post stuff you won’t of heard before. If I make music of my own I plan on sharing that too. If you have any music or sound art you would like to share with me then please email it to me or send me a link so I can have a listen.
